The Diptera Data Dissemination Disk (DDDD) is a new kind of serial publication: a serial designed to use a digital format for storing information. DDDD allow for the dissemination of information in more useful formats, such as expert systems, databases, and web sites, more cheaply, but still maintaining a permanent record. DDDD is a peer-reviewed scientific publication. All nomenclatural acts, including new scientific names, contain within DDDD are for the permanent, public, scientific record.
The following volumes are published:

Volume 1 was sponsored by the North American Dipterists' Society and edited by F. Christian Thompson, volume 2 was sponsored by the Systematic Entomology Laboratory, USDA and edited by Allen L. Norrbom and F. Christian Thompson. Both CDs are available from the editors.
Information for authors
Contributions on Diptera and of high scientific quality are desired. As DDDD is a digital serial, a wide latitude of formats are acceptable. All contributions must be in English, although translations into any language using the Latin alphabet can also be included. All contributions will be peer-reviewed before acceptance. Final acceptance is the responsibility of the editor. There are no publication charges. Please contact the editors (Allen L. Norrbom & F.
