Order: Diptera. Family: Tephritidae. Genus: Anastrepha. Species: acris. Author: Stone.
Relationships among the species of Anastrepha were analyzed by Norrbom et al. (1999) and McPheron et al. (1999). Click here for more detailed discussion of Anastrepha phylogeny. Anastrepha acris was not placed in a species group by Norrbom et al. (1999), but in the analysis by McPheron et al. (1999) it was grouped with the fraterculus group.
