Syntypes – Both sexes (IOC, CPARJ), Brazil: Pernambuco: Tapera; & Rio de Janeiro: Guaratiba.

Distribution
Anastrepha pickeli is known from Costa Rica to Guyana and Tobago, Veneuzela to Peru, Brazil (Amazonas, Pará, Piauí, Rio Grande do Norte, Pernambuco, Bahia, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Santa Catarina), and Argentina.
